Return Pick-up Location from 12:00- 17:00
A waiting area for schools is located in the North Paddock near the registration area at the RDS. Schools are encouraged to gather all their students here and do a head count before they depart this area to board their bus outside the RDS.
Buses will be permitted to park on Simmonscourt Road (outside Gate K) and Merrion Road (Outside Gate A) in order to pick up groups which will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Transport Management staff will be in place to co-ordinate with bus/coach drivers and groups gathered inside the RDS to let them know where their bus is located.
You will be allowed to park for a maximum of 10 minutes in this area and if your group has not arrived in this time the bus will be asked to depart and not return until the groups are ready to depart.
Teachers
No parking is permitted on Anglesea Road/Simmonscourt Road at any time. There will be some spaces available for bus parking at UCD on a first come/first served basis.
School groups meeting point
Please ensure your school group meets at the designated meeting point. This is the same area as where you will receive your wristbands for entry. School groups are not to meet at the front of the Main Hall, or outside the Main Entrance to the RDS. These areas need to be kept clear in case of emergency.
Bus pick-up
Please ensure that your driver knows what time to pick your school up and that your group is ready to depart at this time. You will be directed to the appropriate exit gate by Redcoats/Transport Staff. Your bus will only be permitted to wait for a maximum of 10 minutes at the pick-up location before being asked to move off again.
