SSPC Dissolution of medicines workshop – Did you know that engineers recently created the world’s first artificial stomach? It mimics many of the activities that take place in your body and can even throw-up, Gross! You might be wondering what anyone would want to do with a machine that works like your digestive system and throws-up. But scientists need to understand how our bodies work when we eat or take medicine. When you take a tablet how does it know what to do and where to act in your body? In this workshop you will become a scientist to explore medicines and how your body works! Participants can explore some basic biological, physical and chemical principles to understand why how we formulate medicine is important. Come join us in the teacher zone to take part!
